Following in Camille Claudel’s footsteps
Everything here is conducive to a leisurely stroll. Wander around
this town on foot to discover some of its treasures. The Pavillon
Henri IV, for example, is a 16th century half-timbered
house, now converted into a setting for theme exhibitions.
The Alfred Boucher-Paul Dubois museum, named after
two well-known Nogent painters who were a trong influence on the
talented Camille Claudel (she spent the three best
years of her teens in Nogent with her famous brother Paul), is endowed
with an outstanding permanent collection of 19th and 20th
century sculpture.
